Thinking about how it is an opportunity to walk if I don't park close can change your routine and attitude. Always walk the grocery cart back or to an area that adds a few steps to your day. Look around at nature or the sights and relax.
Multiple trips to gather things in the house, rather than a simple approach provides more opportunities for steps or mileage. Yes, an Attitude Adjustment might be exactly what is needed.
When I get discouraged or when I just feel "blah", I read blogs that encourage me to continue to keep on keeping on. I may have to change something that I'm doing or not doing, but I will make a change and usually that change is just a positive change in my attitude.
Just make one adjustment at a time, do it until it becomes a habit, then add another adjustment....pretty soon all those little adjustments add up to big changes!
My first change was getting in the habit of tracking everything---food, water, exercise. Did that for about a week to identify problem areas, then tackled one problem a week and tried to make it a habit. This made the whole thing less overwhelming and easier to accomplish in the long run.
