I use frozen Lean Cuisine type meals as side dishes. I split one w/ my husband so its only about 150 cals each for a decent portion. Pasta ones (i.e Basil Pesto, Portabella Marsala) go great with chicken breasts & the Southwestern Rice goes great with Mexican food. I add a veggie side and I'm set!

What's a blitzens? For those of you that don't know, it's a crepe filled with cottage cheese or another filling such as blueberries. Blitzen's by Golden can be found in the freezer section. I love the one's stuffed with cottage cheese...at 80 calories each and 13 carbs each, I can eat three with a dollop of sour cream and a side of green beans, feel full and still stay on track

Often when eating out, I opt for either a non-fried appetizer or the side orders as my entree to save on calories. I start my meal w/a salad & often I am almost full when my entree arrives. So 2 eliminate unnecessary calories I go for the side dishes & I am full when I leave, not overfull or stuffed
