I use the sparkpoints page as a roadmap to what I want to do during each day (read blogs, take a trivia quiz, take a poll, read a health article etc.) Each activity educates me, makes me more aware and reinforces the healthy behaviors I want to learn or maintain on the road to a healthier me.
Reward yourself with a new type of exercise or sport, one that reinforces your weight-loss progress & fitness goals.
At each mini-goal I reach, I reward myself with a new exercise DVD--something different that I haven't tried yet or couldn't try because I wasn't fit enough. It gives me satisfaction to know I'm progressing enough to do new things, plus it keeps my interest piqued to vary my routines!
Meditating, sitting in silence and thinking about what I want in my life and what is keeping me from it made me realize it was a daily choice I made to be overweight. Now I am mindful and making a daily choice to be healthy, letting go of all the negative feelings and emotions I kept as my security.
