Weight Fluctuation Is Probably Water Not Fat

People can get upset by gaining 3lb or so in the space of a day. Based on SP guidelines, it would take an extra 10,500 calories to add 3lb of fat so it's probably water weight, which will come and go. Factors such as TOM or eating too much salt and sugar can cause this. Don't let it put you off.

MORE INFORMATION:
Try reducing salt and sugar and eat foods with natural diuretic properties that can reduce fluid retention. These include asparagus, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, garlic, lettuce, tomatoes and oats.

This is the truth! Until recently I've struggled with this. A friend recommended I take a look at my Sodium and sugar intake. AMAZING the difference this made!

That's an excellent thing to keep in mind. It's VERY difficult to take in enough calories to gain an actual pound of weight! One's body can fluctuate up to 2# in a day, just due to water. An increase in one's sodium intake can throw the numbers out of whack very easily. Watch the salt, drink your water, and don't sweat a couple of pounds' difference from one day to the next.
