Recently I started a savings jar. For every mile I run, I put in a dollar. I have been told it is important to buy running sneakers every 5 months. Mine cost approx. $100. When it comes time to buy my new sneakers, I will be able to purchase them in cash!

To make sure I drink my allotment of water, I add the Crystal Light Lemonade Packets into my 70 oz. water bottle. Because I use a diuretic I have to drink more than the 70 oz. The doctor told me to add the crystal light to replace some of the potassium back into my body.
Get a 70 oz water bottle from the Dollar Store (I got mine from Dollar Tree).
I have tried so hard to loss weight and have failed miserably. Walking is the key to losing weight so I am going to start walking everyday even if it does hurt but I want this so badly. So lets all walk for a healthier life style and we will be successful.
I am going to try and walk 2 miles a day then increase it to 3 miles each week.
If you walk the same path around the neighborhood or use stationary machines it can get routine fast. In order to encourage myself to step up the mileage, I plan pretend trips. By looking at maps and trying to find locations that I could actually go, I plan a route and even where I would spend the night. Often this encourages me to increase my mileage to make sure that I get to that evenings campsite or hotel. It is fun to learn about so many places and to envision going there!
This trick increased my weekly mileage from 6 to 15 miles a week to 50 to 70 miles a week!
