I lost my first 55 pounds at a rate of 1.5 pounds per week. The last 27 pounds I lost at .5 pounds per week. It all adds up. There are benefits to losing slowly. Your skin is more elastic. You get to eat more and can meet more of your nutritional needs. Won't be as hungry. Slow works, too!

    I have lost 158 pounds. I was 63 when I started, and I am 67 now. Four years. And in that time I have shaped new habits one choice at a time. And my new habits are the components of my new lifestyle.

    This is what I believe and this is the way I am doing it. I just have to keep my brain on track and not get frustrated when I don't see a bunch of weight loss. My program is slow and steady!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!!

    OLd Mom 3! You have so inspired me! Sometimes I feel that it just takes too long! You were so patient with a weight loss of 1/2 pound per week!
