When I was using my Bodybugg, I found that I often burned more calories doing things like shopping, cleaning, running errands etc. than I did spending the whole day being sedentary at work and then hitting the gym for an hour.

Keeping our bodies moving throughout the day is as important as going to the gym 3 times a week, maybe more so. At the top of every hour (my watch beeps) I am reminded to go move for 5 min. (yardwork, laundry, walk dog, or wrestle kids. I am always surprised to have more energy throughout the day.
This could fall under Motivation, Exercise, Staying Heatlhy, Getting Started or Around the House. You can apply the same technique if you sit at a desk all day - so important to keep your body moving. Set the timer for 5 min at the top of every hour (or whatever works for you).
I keep moving throughout the day. Work requires that I stand and when I don't have guests I use the time to do Qi Gong exercises:moving my hands, wrists, fingers, stretching wrists to avoid carpel tunnel, shifting weight from one foot to the other, doing small stretches. I move discreetly stretching calves and getting up on my tiptoes. With live bands in our workplace it's not uncommon to see the employees moving to the music.I keep moving every part of my body that I can. 354
While you do things at home or work, add some strength training, stretching or cardio moves to what you are already doing. While brushing teeth you can do leg lifts; while talking on the phone grab a hand weight for curls; while cleaning add some dance or cardio moves; while sitting at the computer add stretches or leg lifts. Take stock of your daily activities and have fun trying to add little moves to keep yourself moving throughout the day!
