I purchased an 7 inch iron skillet today to heat my left-overs in or to scramble eggs. It is suppose to increase my consumption of iron in my diet by several percent!. Today I heated my leftover Spaghetti.
I wish there was a way of knowing exactly how much iron is added and to be able to see it credited on my nutrient scale.

I use a cast iron skillet in the oven for easy "skillet meals" - Plus, portion control is already included!! Lay your seasoned meat in the bottom of a cast iron skillet, surround by veggies seasoned how you like - roast in the oven or poach as desired. 250
I just remembered the old method used by my Great-Grandma Ba-aaji.She'd grease her hot Iron skillet, using an Onion cut in half to smear 1 tsp.of Oil or Ghee all over it.She'd then fry the Indian Rice pancakes(Aamboli/Dhirdi) by spreading the Batter with the back of an Iron Ladle.
These Pancakes lifted off easily from the hot Griddle when set---mouthwateringly soft on the inside and goldenly crisp on the outside!!!The use of Iron Utensils adds some Iron too to the Food cooked in these.
Need to iron just the collar or button placket on a blouse or shirt quickly and not have to drag out the ironing board, iron, and wait for the iron to heat up? Use your flat iron (hair straightening iron)! My new flat iron heats up really fast and irons those areas on blouses with much more ease and in much less time than using an iron does.
