I try and move every day. 5 minutes at a time if that is all I have in me that day. However, when I have the time to exercise it is amazing how 30 minutes can come like that once I do the first 5.

i love this attitude. my life is so busy with work, disabled spouse and dogs that i dont seem to have enough time to take care of what all needs to be done. I'm going to give your 5 minute approach -always reminding myself that 5 minutes is better than no minutes-thanks

Yes, that happens to me all the time. I am just not in the mood for exercise. So I tell myself, just five minutes to keep it going. After five minutes I want to keep going. Sometimes I have to keep on adding 'five more minutes' but it works every time.

Every minute adds up and by the end of the day you got in more than you thought. GREAT tip.

Never short-cut Stretching!!
Always stretch fully after exercise, and if you can't exercise then stretch anyway!! Stretches make rthe exercise count!!
To exercise more consistently find what inspires you about exercise. For example, I find that when I exercise my mood improves a lot and thats why I exercise more than to just lose weight. This response is immediate within 20 minutes of beginning my exercise, whereas losing weight takes weeks and months, so I concentrate on how exercise makes me feel more than on just the weight loss aspect.
