Instead of using regular mayonaise I use fat free sour cream. It's 20 calories per 2 tbsp compared to 90 in 1 tbsp of mayo. You really can't tell the difference especially when making tuna fish or chicken salad.

While shopping at Trader Joe's, I noticed a red pepper and artichoke tapenade. I was trying to find something to substitute for traditional mayo on a sandwich. The only thing I knew of "tapenade" is that I had heard it on the Food Network. Turns out it is a tasty substitute for mayo and only 20 cal.
I substitute tzatziki (yogurt-cucumber-dill dip) for mayo on sandwiches for added flavor. I love broccoli dipped in mayo, but substituting tzatziki is also delicious. I use tzatziki as a dip for grilled chicken breast. Yum! and only 30 calories vs 180 calories for 2 tablespoons.
Recently I've started using greek yogurt in place of mayo in salad dressing recipes. It knocks fat and calories way down and tastes better in my opinion, particularly with tangy dressings. My favorite so far is the Hidden Valley Ranch dry mix. 20 calories and 1 gram of fat per serving when substituting yogurt and nixing the mayo.
