While I was losing weight it really helped to weigh only once a week, and even then not paying too much attention to that one event. What I focused on was the lowest weight of each month. That numbered captured my continuing progress much more accurately.

I do the same thing. I weigh every day but I've found that fluctuations range from 1-3 pounds. I used to get discouraged until I decided to focus on the positive. So I focus on what I've lost for the month not daily. I know my body is adjusting to the exercise and eventually the scale will continue downward. - by MOXIE22

So true. There are so many other things that can affect the number on the scale so it can become a little demotivating when your efforts don't seem to be paying off.
I am trying to put my focus more onto the health benefits than my weight as such. By making each little decision every day count, I can feel like I am making progress even if the scale doesn't move. - by PRINCESS_TWISTY
