when people say hurtful things to you instead of eating to numb the sting (something I use to do) use it to motivate u in the "I am going to show u and when I am done I will look better then you!"

If your friends aren't with you, do it in spite of them!
My husband refuses to exercise with me. My daughter is obese but refuses to deal with it... I'm losing weight on SP in spite of them. DH has 3 flavours of ice cream on hand, salted cashews, candy... I ask him to keep it out of my sight but sometimes he forgets and I slip up... but darn it all, I'm going to succeed in spite of them, because I matter!205
seriously - get a dog along the lines of a border collie or standard poodle - the einsteins of the canine world. you MUST walk them twice a day - such high-energy dogs require a minimum 45min walk a day PLUS they need exercise (walking is *so* not "exercise" for these breeds!) and then they need jobs - that means you need to train them.
you'll be moving and shaking in spite of yourself!
MORE INFORMATION:
the caveat is that if you try to skive off on the walking, they'll usually demo your house and be a total pita until you get it in gear.
We were away for 9 days for a family wedding, and visited a number of friends and family members for meals. After much consideration, I decided not to take the computer with me, or to write down everything I ate. Instead, I pre-planned healthy snacks for on the train, avoided all deep fried foods and salads with mayonnaise, ate whole grains, fresh vegetables and fish whenever possible, and practiced portion control at every meal... I maintained my weight, in spite of all the temptations!104
