Cooking For 1

I used to hate having to cook just for myself. After a long day of work and the gym, the last thing I wanted to do was cook a meal for myself. So then I discovered that if I can cook a couple of large meals on Sunday, divide them up into containers and freeze I will have dinners for the whole week!

  • I cook for 2 but always make extra so I can freeze in single serving size containers for lunches. Especially soup, I freeze it in 1 cup containers & when it's solid I pop it out and put it in a labeled freezer bag so I can have my containers available. Then when I want to pack my lunch I drop it back into the same size container, it keeps my lunch cold while it thaws. - by AUTUMNFIRE
  • I do this also because I hate cooking. I use one weekend to prepare several meals, put them in single serving size containers and freeze. I usually have lunch/dinners for one or two months. - by MSDELISLE
  • Great idea. emoticon - by TUDI4480
