This Sparked Me!

A small clip on or just put it in your pocket. It works like the bodybugg by counting steps, calories and miles. It also tracks your sleep. Had mine for 6 months and love it. There is no monthly fee for the web site like the others

MORE INFORMATION:
It costs $100 and there is no fee for the web site that the info is downloaded to and stored at. You can also track your food on the site but I still use spark for that

The Fitbit does work a bit differently from the Bodybugg. The Bodybugg monitors your skin temperature & moisture to help estimate calories burned. BUT the Bodybugg is $250 if you want a display, plus monthly fee. And you have to wear it on your arm. The Fitbit is much easier to conceal. Ladies or adventurous gentlemen, you can just slip it into bra front and center. The Fitbit is easy to lose, so many people tether them using a lanyard or pedometer tether. Also, the Fitbit syncs wirelessly every 15 minutes if you are within 15 feet of the base station. A full charge lasts 10+ days. I charge mine for a few minutes everyday when I am in the shower (not water proof) and it is always at full charge.

The fact that I would have to pay to use the web site is the biggest reason I have yet to buy a Bodybugg or the GoWear Fit one. I will definitely look into this, thanks for sharing!

Thanks 4 the BodyBugg alternative! On 3/27/10, they're on back order till April 30th. So they must be working great for folks!

The Fitbit is great because you can see how active you are in real time. I have never been the type of person to park at the back of a parking lot, but now I am finding any excuse to get more steps for the day. It has really encouraged me to be more active.

I have a FitBit and I love it! If you are in Colorado, you can buy them at Best Buy. Otherwise you have to order it from Fitbit.com and there is a month waiting list or buy one on eBay and pay a bit more.
