A small clip on or just put it in your pocket. It works like the bodybugg by counting steps, calories and miles. It also tracks your sleep. Had mine for 6 months and love it. There is no monthly fee for the web site like the others
It costs $100 and there is no fee for the web site that the info is downloaded to and stored at. You can also track your food on the site but I still use spark for that

I subscribed to the Fitbit Trainer, and it allows me to see the impact of the intensity of my exercise. My long dog walks don't burn many calories, but take a lot of time. When I have a specific CICO goal, Fitbit reads SP's Nutrition information and shows the gap. That prompted me to incorporate some intense exercise each day to make sure my exercise was paying off.
