By having small goals along the way you keep yourself motivated and inspired and that final goal doesn't seem that far away after all

If my run isn't going so well I will change my route so I'm making more turns or direction changes. That way I'm not discouraged by distance. I run "just to the corner" then "just to what ever landmark" I see. Soon enough my run is done and I did the full time I set out to do.
Setting and reaching your goals is an important aspect of life, no matter what you wish to accomplish. Yearly goals can be too daunting and daily goals can be too much work to keep track of. Weekly goals are a great way to achieve success in any area of your life.
Just try to focus on one set of goals at a time, though it may be tempting to do more. One set allows you the greatest amount of focus and won't be as likely to overwhelm you.
