I think it is important to take pride in what you've accomplished toward your goal(s). Look at the big picture every day, and be proud of your work. Even if a pound or two is back on the scale, the big picture is that you've been working hard, for months maybe. Dedication to your goal through all the ups and downs is something to be proud of. Give yourself a high-five for trying another day!

I have found that deciding to have a good day in the beginning helps me to stay positive and have better days. I don't let the small issues throughout the day become big problems. I look at the big picture when I start to think negatively about the day.
Remembering that it is important to stay in the moment and reminding myself that the "bad" part of the day does not make the rest of the day a bad day is really helping me with motivation and my depression.
