My sweet tooth loves ice cream during the hot summer months and it's already over 100 here! So I load my freezer with lower calorie options and have found these favorites: Weight Watchers Giant Fudge bars & Snickers, Skinny cow anything and the Breyer's Smooth and Dreamy Bars. Enjoy!76
Never drink whole milk always choose Skim or 1%. A diet high in saturated fat can cause a serious problem for a diabetic. Saturated fats can worsen insulin resistance. Avoid whole milk dairy proucts and eat lower fat versions. Also stay away fruit juice including the 100 percent fruit juices as they have tons of sugar...eat fruit or squeeze your own juice fresh instead.
Ice cream--a really good half-fat kind, like Lovin Scoopfuls or Breyer's, has a permanent home in my freezer--and in my heart. I know that I can look forward to eating a half-cup of it any and every evening, as long as it fits into my calore count for the day. At about 100 calories per serving, it ALWAYS does. 334
Measuring precisely in grams lets me be confident that I'm not going overboard.
