In order to prevent feeling deprived, I make a point of regularly asking myself what I'm currently craving, and then plan my meals and/or treats around that craving. That way I never go too long without my favourite foods - I just eat them in sensible portions! And I stay on program! Win-win-win!
Sometimes a craving can be a specific food - pizza is a big one for me! - but sometimes it's just a type of cuisine. Or a texture. Take the time to really think about what would satisfy you - and make the plans to indulge without overindulging!
