I do this, too, because I made an appointment with a trainer who could only see me after my usual workout session. I had an urgent need to go to the bathroom before we started. The first thing she did was weigh me without shoes, so I figured to see how much I had lost, I had to make conditions as similar as possible to that first weigh-in. I exercise, go to the bathroom, then weigh myself. (I have weighed myself with & without various sneakers so I know how much to subtract ---and don't need to bother to remove them.)

MORE INFORMATION:
Last week I weighted myself and then visited the toilet. I weighted again and found a 1.1 pound loss.....hmmmm
I weigh myself weekly. If I weigh myself and there is no change in my weight I wait a couple days and weigh myself again. I only record my weight when it has gone down, that way I don't get too distracted by the 'short term' progress and only focus on how well I've been doing in the long run! If you stick to a healthy diet and exercise you WILL see the result in the long run!
