Always make a plate of food as usual. Eat half of each item and throw away the rest. By throwing away the rest you cannot be tempted to eat it later. Use small plates not large platters.

    That's the idea but instead of throwing away just put portion control into play. That's how I have lost most of my weight. If I eat out I take 1/2 home for lunch the next day. The idea is to get used to what you should be eating. Piece of meat no bigger then a deck of cards ect. I was eating enough for three.

    I like the concept except I don't like to throw away food.
