If you're like me I enjoy a treat after dinner or a healthy dessert. If you have been really good all day you must reward yourself for a job well done. I look for high quality dark chocolate on sale, my favorite place is Whole Foods. I keep it out of sight and every day break off a small piece. Yum!

Dark chocolate is considered a superfood. Just don't over do it. About ten years ago I never liked it. But a friend introduced me to some really good dark chocolate with nuts from a Chocolate store and I've been hooked ever since. Try it, it's definitely worth it!

I decided that I HAD to have some small reward for every pound I lost to get me started. I felt like some small reward early on would get me motivated for something larger, so I started downloading a song for every pound that I lost. 1 pound = $1 reward that is fat, sugar, and calorie FREE!
Keep yourself accountable but build in small rewards and forgive yourself for your mistakes. I find that tracking everything helps me lose weight, and scheduling in small rewards such as getting my hair or nails done, buying a luxury (such as nice lotion) or exercise outfit every five pounds or so keeps me motivated. Also, being honest with myself when I don't follow my nutrition plan and forgiving myself helps me get back on track faster and closer to my healthier me.
If you don't wanna get what you've always got, do something different! For me, it involved thinking small. * Use smaller plates and bowls.
* Get smaller clothes.
* Order smaller portions in restaurants.
* Exercise in small bursts throughout the day.
* Small rewards for small victories!

Setting small goals and celebrating them has made a huge transformation in my life. And shaking my head no when restaurants ask me if I want a large has helped in more ways than one. If I don't want to be LARGE, don't eat large. Now I just smile sweetly and say: ""No thanks, I'm a small !"
