I love salads but mostly I love those high calorie dressing we put on our salads. I have learned to eliminate those by using salsa. I get the mild for things like burgers and chicken and hotter for our more spicy meals like enchiladas or tacos. This works for me hope it will help you too.

I abhor low cal salad dressings. I wanted to keep the full flavor of my favorite creamy style dressing but not all the calories. In order to give me that ability I measure out 1 tsp of salad dressing, then I dip the tines of my fork in the salad dressing and pick up a bite of salad. I get a taste of my yummy salad dressing in each bite and use no more than a teaspoon of salad dressing, in fact, usually I use less than that!
Boil potatoes with the peels still on, eggs, chop up fresh veggies and keep them in the fridge and ready to make just about anything you want. Potatoe: soups, salads, fried, baked, microwaved etc... Egg: salad, tuna salad, turkey salad, egg in a salad, potatoe salad, etc.. Save time & money!
To avoid adding extra calories to your salad, ask for your salad dressing on the side and dip your FORK (without any salad on it) into the salad dressing THEN load your fork with salad. You still get the flavor of the salad dressing and you will barely dent the surface of your dressing.
