I start my day with exercise. I find it gives me more energy throughout the day and that I am more alert and productive after I have exercised. Then, I do not have to fight with myself at the end of the day to go work out when I am tired and ready to relax. I feel positive because I exercised.
It also gives me time at the end of the day to plan a good healthy dinner and relax as I prepare for the next day.

When you have been a couch potato for as many years (and I do mean years) as I have been, the though of beginning any kind of exercise routine can be terrifying and you avoid the commitment for as long as possible. Begin with just one step. My first step was getting off the bus one stop before I had too. I thought I was going to die that first day but now I walk 3.5 miles a day and have started adding other exercise routines to my quest for fitness. 9
