Have a problem with mildew or mold in your home on walls or other hard surfaces? Have a towel or another article of clothing that was left damp and mildewed? Bleach will not kill the mildew or mold. It just bleaches out the color. Use Borax (20 Mule Team Borax) and if using it on a hard surface, make a thick paste by adding a bit of water and apply it to the mold or mildew. Let it air dry and wipe/wash off. Add as directed to your laundry, it will kill mildew in towels and such. It works!
Spray it with vinegar. Mildew on grout is no match for that miracle household cleaning dynamo called vinegar. Just pour somewhite vinegar into a container, dip in an old toothbrush, and scrub away at the mildew. Or pour the vinegar into a spray bottle, squirt it on the mildew, and let it sit for ten minutes. Rinse with water and apply the old toothbrush if necessary. Bleach is effective in removing mildew from tile grout. (con't) 432
