During the summer or on other warm days when my children want cold or cool snacks like ice cream, I let them eat frozen peas and carrots. They love it, it cools them down some, and gives them some nutrients.

    That's a great idea! I have heard frozen grapes are good too. My mom used to freeze 100% orange juice in Popsicle molds for us. Those are very enjoyable after a hot, sweaty day of playing outside.
