What is so important that it can't wait until you get to your destination. Phones should be shut off while in car

I wish the police officers in my town would stay off their phones too. Day after day I see police officer after police officer chatting it up on their cell phones - no blue tooth in site - it's a little frustrating.

I have a hands free device should I need to use the phone will driving but I rarely NEED to call anyone during this time.

I learned the hard way. I was talking on my phone (not texting) and got into a car accident. I haven't talked on the phone and drove since!

So true. This can't be emphasized enough.
