If you step on the scale and don't like the number you see, don't let that get you down and turn your mood sour for the rest of the day. The scale is a tool and nothing more!

If you can't handle the normal ups and downs then weigh yourself less often.

    I dont check the scale, a lot of factors go into why you see up and down of the numbers. I like to go by how my clothes feel

    I totally agree. I do check the scale weekly and sometimes daily. Sometimes daily helps motivate me but it can also spiral into a depressing mood, causing me to eat more food. Great comment!

    thanks for this. i need to realize this but it still gets me down. its like it's telling me im regressing even though my actions dont reflect that.

    By the way all scales don't give you the same weight. I wouldn't get discourage if it's more than you thought it would be. Most of the time is just water weight. The best time to weight yourself I've heard is in the morning before you start eating. emoticon

    I only weigh myself once a week but it does determine my mood for the day.
