On tacos, garnishing chilis and soups (borscht) - you can't tell the difference on these! Try it and see what you think, we love it!

However, not a good substitute on baked potatoes.

I love Greek yogurt and looking forward to trying this idea out. Thanks for sharing!

I strain my Dannon Naturals low fat yogurt and it becomes as thick as greek yogurt but much less expensive. I use my seive and leave it in the fridge covered with paper towel.I always sub yogurt for Sour cream.

I can also vouch for swapping fat-free greek yogurt (plain) with sour cream in homemade banana bread. You cannot tell the difference! I use up extra ripe bananas in banana bread loaves I ship to my sons in the USN. Shhhh, THEY cannot tell the difference!

Yes! I have started doing this and it really is impossible to tell the difference when you add it to your tacos or baked potatoes or whatever.

You should be able to get it in your local grocery store...right next to the regular plain yogurt. If you can't get Greek, then use plain--just read the labels, though. :)

I love greek yogurt & was thinking there has to be more ways to use it. This sounds like a great idea. Thanks!
