I have substituted wheat bread for Quinona or Rye bread (you got to check the labels bcs. many although they say "Rye" or others, wheat still part of the ingredients, just cutting pastries and all wheat products have helped me shed 6 pounds so far in only 2 weeks :)

William Davis MD wrote the book& says you can lose faster if you have a wheat free diet with no hunger or health risk. He says wheat raises blood sugar more than sugar itself, & if you eliminate wheat from your diet it will stabilize blood sugar. They say his patients have lost 30 lbs in 30 days. He says wheat stimulates the production of the the hormone insulin that causes the bloodstream to have more triglycerides, so by cutting wheat you can solve the high cholesterol problems. Worth a try
