I used to pass up the offer to go to dinner and cocktails with my friends because I was "afraid" of the extra calories. I would always end up staying home and eating too much by myself in front of the tv. I've learned that I can still go out, enjoy myself and have a good time while eating healthy!

Don't deprive yourself of anything, just learn to balance treats out by cutting back on something else.
A lot of people completely cut out chocolate, cheese, butter, cream, etc, etc, and think they are doing the right thing. But all this achieves is to make themselves feel deprived. For example, a small scrape of butter is far better (and tastier) than any amount of made in a lab substitute butter!
