I have found that plain yogurt with this new healthy omega-3 granola that is 30% seeds and fruit it is made by Pres. Choice is a great sweet alternative for ice cream and other unhealthy snacks I used to eat. I let it sit in the fridge for a few hours and it becomes nice and thick.
My DH said when I mixed it with his strawberry yogurt that is was almost like cheesecake.
Try PLAIN greek yogurt with fresh sliced strawberries for a lot of protein and not a lot of sugar. Greek yogurt has less sugar than regular and the strawberries help sweeten the deal. If you need a little more sweetness, try 1/2 packet of splenda or a bit of honey.
Strawberries not in season? Buy them frozen and mix with the yogurt in the morning. By the time you are ready for a morning snack, the strawberries will have thawed and blended making perfect strawberry yogurt!
Put your favorite 0% fat fruit flavored yogurt in the freezer for 3 hrs and it'll have the texture and taste of ice cream in a fraction of the calories! (My favorite is Elle & Vire 0% fat strawberry yogurt at just 51 kcals!)
