Move And Exercise While Doing Everyday Things

I once used to do this but forgot over the past few years. When doing something mundane like cooking dinner, brushing my teeth, watching television or even getting ready in the morning I make sure to constantly move. Whether it's marching in place, doing leg lifts, or modified butt kicks.

MORE INFORMATION:
I've tracked this on my GoWear Fit now a days and this can add about 300 plus calories burned over the entire day! Amazing that I'm not even fully exercising and yet I'm still burning some extra calories. When you have time constraints this is really handy! Just remember to just move!!!

    This is kind of like something I do sometimes... I do sorting tasks(the junk drawer) while on the phone when I know it is not a business call but will likely last "long" = 10 or more minutes.
Sometimes I also will set a reward... Usually it is if I know I have some work to do, but would rather watch a movie... If I get the work done, then I get to watch the movie... I guess we have to parent ourselves and encourage self-discipline however we can.

    I love music and dancing so it makes cleaning house so much better if I have my Ipod on! Cleaning house is a great exercise and you don't even have to go out to the gym! Bend and squat while cleaning the lower cabinets and also cleaning in your bathroom. There is nothing like CLEARNERSIZING!

    There's a lot of research that indicates that you move more, and faster when there is upbeat music. This means that your moos will be up, and you will be burning more calories than you would without the music. Music also motivates you to do more things. That way, while you are making dinner, you may feel motivated to keep moving, and clean up the rest of the kitchen while things are cooking, Great way to get everything done in a day! Burn more calories, and finish more household chores in a happy state at the same time! Great! emoticon emoticon

    I like to listen to music, when cleaning house, so I get upbeat music and dance to it while clean house and stay in beat, its a great exercise emoticon emoticon
