I have always avoided the rowing machine, thinking I wouldn't like it. I recommend you give it a try. Check out directions on how to do it properly. You will get a great total body workout if used properly. Try it for just 5-10 minutes. I cut my elliptical workout by 10 minutes and did just that

I agree this a great workout that is often over looked at the gym. I just had a co-worker ask me to row with them at lunch and I was surprised what a hard workout you can get....he used to be a rowing instructor so I have learned a lot. Interval rowing with 3 min rest periods make for a great full body workout! We'll have to see if this change heklps me break teh plateau I am stuck in!

I find that if I use the eliptical machine for about a half hour and then try to run, my run is easier and my times are better
Every day I plan for what needs to be done and then tick it off my list. That list can be in my head or on paper. Items on list are shower, clean and tidy house, eat 3 meals and 1 or two snacks, drink 8 cups of water daily in any form(herbal tea, water with lime or just water) walk the dogs, deal with interpersonal relationships, budget and pay bills, talk to my soul and pray.
