I save time, money and calories by cooking most meals at home. One thing that makes it easy to prepare a quick meal after work is to cook extra staples ahead of time and freeze them.
MORE INFORMATION:
I buy large packages of lean ground beef, cook it all at once, drain and rinse it, and freeze in pint containers. Or roast a chicken or turkey or bake chicken breasts when you're at home, then shred and freeze them. Having these staples at my fingertips lets me prepare a quick meal any time!

I do this too and it's great for myself but also so that my kids can easy make meals too! I buy meat at the stores when I see stuff on sale, then when making a meal, cook up a bunch of it and freeze some. Easier and healthier than having my husband stop on his way home and cheaper too!!

I do that too & it's so handy especially when you are tired & don't want to start a meal from scratch because of the time factor.

If you fill up the sink with hot soapy water when you start cooking/baking, then drop your used (and not to be REUSED) dirty items in it as you go (such as mixer beaters, mixing bowls, measuring cups, etc.) you will have counter space left to work and your dishes will be soaked and ready for a quick wash while your food is cooking/in the oven. By the time dinner is ready, your kitchen is tidy and there's no post-dinner mess to contend with!
