I have noticed that every time I eat late and dont drink my water, my weight either goes up or stays the same. When I follow these 2 rules (as long as I haven't totally went nuts on food) that I usually find the scales are friendlier to me.

I removed all the other liquids (juice, iced tea, etc) from my fridge and replaced them with bottled water, which I refill at the tap and replace in the fridge as I drink them. I also keep them on the top rack of the door, so they're easily accessible. I keep five or so different kinds of Crystal Light around, which allows the option to add/change up flavour when needed.
Eventually, I stopped realizing there was nothing but water to drink because that's all there ever was.
