I am going to try to set up my menu for the next day. Making sure I have carbs throughout the day, and then making sure I have 3 vegetables, and 2 fruits, and enough protein. By planning ahead I can adjust and make sure I have snacks and food spread evenly through the day, and be in the range 4 me

I try to do this as well, and it makes a world of difference. It takes the pressure off from "wondering what to eat", and getting stressed about making healthy choices. I feel more disciplined as well when I am following a specific menu or meal plan for the day, and I know in advance what it is.

As you enter foods throughout the day on your food tracker, the summary of nutrients/calories remaining box at the bottom of the page, really helps keep me on track with maintaining a healthy balance of nutrients while staying within my total calorie goal range. It really helps me because I regularly tend to be too high or low in certain nutrients (ie low in protein, high in fat). I can adjust or add as the day goes on.
I've found that to keep my body from adjusting to my calorie intake when I'm dieting that I have to mix things up.

So, if I stay on track with my calories and exercise Sunday through Friday I give myself a bit of a break on Saturday. The next week I will choose a different day. I'll add more exercise or I'll have a treat. Staying away from a routine is best for me.
