When I make a mistake on something I printed off the computer, I fold the piece of paper in four and tear. Then I have 4 pieces of scrap for near the phone.

I have a daily flip calendar on my desk. At the end of the year when I replace the old pages with the new, I clip the old ones together and use them as a note pad on my desk for miscellaneous notes, calls, numbers, whatever. It saves me from using new note pads!
