i used to drink a lot of caffeine free diet soda--In order to get more water in, I made a rule for myself that I couldn't have a soda until I had finished my 8 glasses of water first. That helped me to build a healthy habit...and now, I rarely drink soda ever.

Will drinking lot of water curb hunger and really promote weight loss?
A small amount of evidence says people who drink water before meals eat fewer calories but noone has really shown that drinking excessive amounts of water will make you lose weight. In fact, drinking too much water can lead to water intoxication, which can be fatal as demonstate in a Hold on to your Wee for Wii contest held by a radio station in california a couple of years ago. Stay Hydrated, yes, pale urine means you are hydrated, dark urine..you better start guzzling!!!
I purchased a 4 cup mug with a straw. Each day I have a "contest" with myself. I try to empty the mug by Noon...then refill it. I try to empty the mug by 3:00...then refill it at home. I try to empty the mug by 10:00...voila...12 cups of water in for the day!
