When you've purchased fresh berries and they start going bad, like you don't really want to use them, blend them, pour them into ice cube trays and use them for smoothies! Saves you money in not through them out and they are healthy!

Can thaw and use frozen fruit cube and mix in plain yogurt, or make a yogurt parfait. Also use the thawed fruit in trifles!

Great idea and I also take those bananas that are getting away from me....peel, break into about 1 inch chunks, toss in a ziplock and throw in the freezer...add frozen chunks to bleender for great smoothies with any other combo of ingred.
