Don't wait until you're at your perfect weight to do the things you want to do. Get out there and get busy, and you'll have less time to obsess over food and you'll get more enjoyment from you life. That's right. DO it RIGHT NOW!
For example I love to swim but haven't done it for years because I've been embarrassed by my size. Last week I just did it. I got into the pool and swam some laps. It felt wonderful and I felt so happy afterward. I didn't even notice (or care) what others may or may not think of me!
Amazing how we anticipate a "NUMBER" whether we weigh in once a week or once a day-it is amazing how that anticipation can either "make or break" us once we see the "number" I am now finding much more enjoyment and accomplishment by anticipating how things look or feel when I try on my clothes rather than getting consumed by a number. Don't get me wrong I have a goal weight which I will hit-that motivation keeps me pushing to accomplish more-but I refuse to let a number dictate the way I feel :)
I love chocolate but I find myself eating less than stellar goodies and wasting calories. Instead I eat only the chocolate desserts and candy I really love while ignoring the rest of it. I've started using this for all my food and my enjoyment of food is higher while my calorie count is lower.
I make a list of what I really love and anything that doesn't fall on the list doesn't get eaten.
