I like to buy fresh peppers(I prefer red, yellow & orange ones), onions, mushrooms,squash & zuccini slice them into about 1/4-1/2 inch slices put 2 cups in a ziploc, bag & put that in the crisper, usally gives me 4 servings can grab &go (I prefer to stir fry them add them to sandwich,raw or omlette

  • This is a great idea.. I even have been doing this with broccoli too. The peppers are so good and if you need a dip hummus is a good one. I also love to chop up an assortment of veggies for egg scrambles (frittatas) so having them sliced and on hand makes prep so easy. Also, roasting peppers and onions with a drizzle of olive oil is super yummy. They carmelize and are super sweet. emoticon - by LISAZEEBEE
