When I don't Feel Like Exercising... I just tell myself that I'm only going to do this for 15 min. That usually does the trick to get me started. Then, of course, I usually end up exercising longer! emoticon

    At the suggestion of LISANANCY I have substituted the word "Investment" for "Exercise" in my vocabulary whenever possible.
emoticon I'm going to the gym, not to 'exercise' but to INVEST 60 minutes in my future health & happiness.

    I also try the 15 minute trick when I don't want to exercise. My other trick is bribing myself. If I can stick with my program for 30 days in a row I get to go get something I really want as long as it is not food. Most times I get another weaving toy

    I do the same thing, only it's 'just 10 minutes.' Unless I was really sick, had to drag myself out of bed (happened only once or twice in two years, but didn't want to break my streak), that 10 minutes has always turned into 30, 60 or even more.

    I've read this concept before and of course it's a great in most things once we get started we tend to sick around a little longer than expected.

    I usually do something that is high impact workout on my shorter days. This way I get the best workout for that day.

    I think to myself, I'm going to regret it if I don't do it so let's make good on the time,(as an hour, is 4-15 minute intervals) I have to work out! One day, step at a time, Sweet Jesus! emoticon emoticon

    I say the same thing to myself, every time it is not a great day to exercise. That is usually when my daughter is home from school and my husband is traveling. But once I get us out we have fun exercise.
