Before I make any online purchase, I use my search engine to look for "online coupon code for ____" (where the blank is filled with the online store name). I frequently find coupons codes for free shipping (which can add up!) or a % off the total purchase, etc! I've reaped some big savings.

Many cities have local coupon books that feature money off or buy one get one coupons for local restaurants, theaters, shopping, hotel stays, etc. It typically costs around $15-$35 dollars for a book full of hundreds of coupons! Plus, you gain resources for additional online coupons.
I cut all the coupons out of magazines, papers and all the free online coupon sites. The items I do not intend to use I put beside the product so that I can help others save money. I have bought products that were on sale and someone else was nice enough to leave their coupon.

If you purchase a prepaid Kroger credit card, reloadable; it acts as a Kroger card and for every 1,000 you get $5 free groceries. With the card, the points do not fall off until you use it. So you can save them up (except for fuel). Another saver is to get the coupons in the mail, instead of online. They cater to you specific taste and you always get coupons for free products that way. I look forward to free frozen veggies and water. This does not apply to online coupons.
