the only way i allow myself to watch my favorite show during the day is if I'm on the exercise bike. I have to pedal through commercials and all, good thing is TBS show two episodes so I get a double workout when time allows. I'm done before lunch and I feel great the rest of the day.
After all that work your less likely to blow it on a high calorie lunch .

When I start telling myself that 10 minutes of exercise won't make a difference, I then say out loud, "it does more than ... sitting in front of the computer, sitting on the couch, eating that last whatever." 306
You know you can burn calories while gardening, I have always found gardening to be my happy medium. Where else can you dig a hole and stuff all your angry, negative feelings and disappointments of your day and watch something beautiful bloom/come from it. You can also help your environment as well by given back what so many of us take from nature. I love the satisfaction and enjoy the results of my labor and burned calories by the results I get year after year. Plus all the wildlife it attracts.

I tend to stick to anything fun. If I'm watching tv, sometimes I'll pick a word I know will occur in the show (For example, for supernatural the word is awesome). If I hear the word, I'll pause the show for a minute and do some sort of healthy exercise: jog in place, crunch, jumping jacks, or drink a glass of water if my intake is low. This helps me to stay on track.
