It doesn't matter what you do, just MOVE! I say "anything is better than slouching on the couch" for example: I really like jumping, so I do jumping jacks for about 5-10 minute than I move on to a different exercise.
my favorite way to exercise in front of the TV is to alternate between cardio, strength, resistance and/or, stability threw out the whole show. for example: 10 min. jogging in place 10min. crunches, side plank, and reverse crunch with ball. then repeat
