I have a friend who's "only lost 13 pounds." My suggestion to her was to put 13 pounds of groceries in one of the small grocery baskets you have to carry and then tote it around for awhile. It's so wonderful to realize that you're no longer carrying that around all the time!

    Sixteen pounds and I was not happy? ! ! !
    ( At that time I still had so much further to go and it looked impossible. )

    Then I read that water weighs 8.34 pounds per 1-gallon jug.
    So, I filled up two empty jugs then proceeded to walk down and then back up my front steps.
    OMG! My knees just cried out for mercy.
    Then I put the jugs down and walked down and back up the steps again. WOW! The difference was staggering.

    Actually holding and carrying around the weight you've lost is an awesome experience. Try it and see for yourself.
