From spices to grains to vegetables, keep em fresh. Use em' or lose them. It is so easy to let the inner hoarder to hold on to food that may be unhealthy (rancid) or just old and lacking some of the essential nutrients it once had.

    I am bad about keeping spices too long, some have been in the cabinet for years!!! The cost so much and some I don't use that often or much of them, you just hate to throw them out. This maybe the next "de-cluttering" project, clean out the spice cabinet!

    I keep my spices in the freezer. Which is great if you have the room.

    Now that I can count it as decluttering, I'm going to do it. Maybe this weekend. I'll bet there are some there that have been there for years.

My wife use to cook. Then she accepted a promotion at work and is too tired to cook any more.
