Whether it is cooking, exploring your community, spending time with people you love... it is so much easier to set a long term goal if it involves something you love. I realized for me I got excited about experiencing the Rideau fromt start to finish-206 mi. At the time I could barely walk 50 ft.
So to reach my goal I had to make many small goals which included physio, walking in water, getting good shoes mapping my progress & local walks. I can walk 5 miles now, walked almost all of the trail and don't use a cane. Having a goal I really wanted to succeed at made all the difference.
I was having a hard time getting all my water in- and then I bought a plastic cup with a lid (to keep on my desk at work) that also came with a straw. The straw has made a HUGE difference. Getting all my water in no longer seems like a chore. That straw made all the difference.
