After supper, I thoroughly brush and floss my teeth. You must clean them carefully, leaving no food morsel in between the teeth. If there is anything left in there, your saliva will continue to flow, making you want to eat more later.
Your saliva will dry up after brushing properly. I can't stand the taste of toothpaste and certainly don't feel like eating anything more with that taste in my mouth. Also find something else to do other than watch TV and those food triggering ads! Get active, take the dog or kids for a walk!

Carry a protein bar to stave off hunger. Or if you can, a protein drink.
I always have water and a protein bar in my bag. I just got protein powder packets to carry too. This helps me noteat fast food if I'm out running errands or doing things. It tides me over until I get home where I can eat a healthy meal.
