Keep it together
I keep menu's, recipes and even pictures of exercises I have cut from magazines ( and glued onto note book paper) in a 3 ring binder.
MORE INFORMATION:
No digging for that recipe I wanted to try and if I don't feel like planning a menu I have some old ones in my binder. I like to leave comments on my menu's and recipes for future reference. I love flipping through my binder and find it very motivational.
I have over time put together a binder of recipes and menus for quick reference. I made sure to include some things that will freeze well here and there to double and add to my freezer for days things don't go as planned. I also try to use the crockpot once a week on busy days. This has been wonderful for adding variety to our meals and making them more enjoyable. It really got me out of the rut! We are eating better and it is actually cheaper!
MORE INFORMATION:
Begin with as many things you can find that your family likes. Then ask them if there are any favorites they want you to include. I then got out my coockbooks for inspiration and went from there. I spread out my list and added at least 1 new thing weekly, just to try a new thing. Lighten them up.
I bought a 3 ring binder and put dividers in it. One divider is for my meal plans, another is for 'old fashioned' recipes, another for crock pot recipes, shopping list ,etc. It's easier to plan out the week when everything is all in one place.
I also keep my christmas card list, emergency numbers, and anything else important in there. It's kind of become our family bible of sorts.
